Moin ! My name is Clara Schildowski, and I’m a French actress, writer and director. I’m currently looking for a Hamburg-based composer to collaborate on an upcoming musical show. The collaboration would involve composing and recording three pieces of background music and two songs, for which the lyrics have already been written. Musical direction Total duration: approximately 15 minutes of music across all five pieces. Style: minimalistic, organic and atmospheric, with a focus on acoustic instruments Mood: ocean-inspired atmosphere: waves, depth, muted or echoing sounds Reference: “Celestial Song” from the Friedrichstadt-Palast production; “Aquarium n°7”, Le Carnaval des animaux, Saint-Saëns; Ludovico Einaudi The project is part of an individual mobility partnership and is subject to approval by the funding body. If the project is approved, the music creation process is planned for January or February 2027. Compensation and rights A fee will be provided for the composer’s work depending on the fund’s allowance, along with a share of royalties if and when the production is performed. The exact terms would be discussed and agreed upon together. Practical arrangements The composer would ideally bring any instruments or equipment needed for the collaboration, where possible. If a recording studio is required, renting one at the production company’s expense could be considered and discussed together in advance. If you’re interested, please get in touch with a short introduction and links to examples of your work More on the show: Mille lieues sous la mer is a 40-minute French musical show for children aged 8 to 14. Deep in the ocean, a tiny bubble begins a journey towards the surface. Along the way, it discovers the beauty of marine life as well as the devastating effects of pollution, overfishing and species extinction. Outraged, the bubble decides to save every fish in the sea! Blending theatre, music, singing and ribbon movement, the show raises awareness about ocean protection while celebrating the bonds that connect us all through the sea. This show is tailored for an educational setting, and encourages pupils to reflect on our relationship with nature and discover how we can contribute to a more sustainable future. Mille lieues sous la mer is the second production of the theater company I founded, la Compagnie des angles ronds. Our first show A l’aube, created in 2026, has already been played 14 times in Paris.
